What I will say about SUNY Broome’s Computer Security and Forensics AAS program was that it was excellent in terms of virtual hands-on experience, but sort fell short in terms of actual hands-on experience. I’m not saying SUNY-Broome was completely wrong. What seems to have changed in employers over the last few years is their definition of hands-on labs when it comes to the AS Computer Science and Computer Security and Forensics Program. Institutions often in the computer science department often think of hands on as being digital. Nowadays that definition seems to be shifting to actual hands-on experience with hardware. Part of the problem with digital only Computer Science and Cyber programs that employers seemed to notice was that students would have adequate virtual hands-on skills, but they realized that students in digital only programs often struggled significantly with the physical hands-on tasks. So, as a result, there appeared to be a shift and an increased demand for candidates with actual hands-on hardware learning. Today in the modern age, demand for candidates with hands on hardware experience has been increasing. Basically, demand from employers is steadily increa

DO NOT ENROLL AT THIS SCHOOL YOU WILL GO INTO DEBT. People are having extra GRANTS, PELL, AND LOAN money when choosing another community college like CUNY. I applied to SUNY qualified for financial aid and a New York State Resident. This school requires a form to show proof of residency or be charged for double tuition as a out-of-state student. Tuition is $2,888 then the EXTRA FEES as a online only student is about another $2,000. at least $1,200 of those fees I cant even utilize. $195 class fee for "materials" buzz fee that asks for $300 and that's the only one you can waive, basically saying you'll get your own books. so all together over $8,000 for out of state tuition without letter of residency and $5500 with letter of residency, and THERE ARE NO CLASS TIMES because it pre-recorded. Do you know how much CUNY in New York City extra fees are?? like $200 all together. tuition full time is under $3,000. so grants, tap, and loans go in your pocket after tuition is paid and you can have extra money to live on if you qualify. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL go to CUNY Brooklyn College, BMCC etc and then apply for excelsior scholarship etc. New York tuition qualifies for all New Yorkers ne

This school is falling apart academically and physically. Buildings are run down, parking lots are not kept up with. The programs are outdated and they try to squeeze every penny out of the students. Most of the professors in the fringe programs are adjuncts and not committed to the curriculum, making more of a gripe session about the course material than a lecture on the actual topics. I am appalled that this school is in the Suny network, it is the lowest quality education I have ever received.

Attention homeschoolers!!!!! Do not even try to go to this school unless you are a member of HSLDA. They will ghost you, stall the process, give you bad information, keep needing more paperwork, and then tell you that you will have to talk to someone else. They make it so complicated that you give up. They might ask me to take this down, but my wife has been trying to get in for 7 months. When she compares the process with others who weren't homeschooled, everyone she talks to had a very easy experience. So I say be prepared for a fight if you are a homeschooler.
